Hey there! Did you hear about China and Malaysia teaming up? 
They are working together to face some big challenges in trading with the United States.
So, what’s happening? China’s Commerce Minister, Mr. Wang Wentao, had a video chat with Malaysia’s Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry, Mr. Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz. They talked about how the United States is raising tariffs on their products.
Wait, but what’s a tariff? 
Great question! A tariff is like a special tax that countries charge on things they buy from other countries. When the U.S. raises tariffs, it means goods from China and Malaysia become more expensive in the U.S.
Mr. Wang thinks this isn’t fair. He says that the U.S. is ignoring all the agreements countries have made over the years to trade nicely with each other. He believes these actions are hurting not just China and Malaysia, but also the whole world economy. 
China is ready to stand up against these tariffs. Mr. Wang said that if the U.S. continues, China will keep fighting back to protect what’s right.
Malaysia agrees too! Mr. Zafrul said that Malaysia doesn’t support the U.S. tariffs either. They want to make sure that trading stays free and fair for everyone. Malaysia will also talk to other Southeast Asian countries to work together on this issue.
Both China and Malaysia believe it’s important to work together and talk things out. They want to make sure that trade around the world stays positive and benefits all countries. Isn’t it great when countries team up to solve problems?
