Hey there! 😊 Did you hear about some news from the Chinese mainland? A spokesperson named Zhu Fenglian talked about something important happening with Taiwan region.
She said that the leaders in Taiwan region’s Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) are making some plans to work more closely with the United States 🇺🇸 on industries like making computer chips. But Zhu thinks this might not be a good idea for the people living in Taiwan region.
You see, the U.S. President Donald Trump announced plans to add extra taxes, called tariffs, on things like computer chips and semiconductors. He believes that most of these businesses have moved to Taiwan region, and he wants them back in the U.S.
In response, the DPP authorities proposed some measures to “strengthen industrial cooperation” with the U.S. But Zhu Fenglian believes that relying too much on the U.S. could harm Taiwan region’s own industries and the well-being of its residents.
She also mentioned that the U.S. is acting in its own interest and that their actions show they care mostly about themselves.
It’s important to remember that working together is great, but sometimes, decisions made by leaders can have big effects on people’s lives. What do you think about this situation?
