Hey there! Did you know that many American companies doing business in the Chinese mainland are doing pretty well? According to a new report, 46% of US companies in China said they made profits or even big profits in 2024! That’s almost half! πŸŽ‰

This information comes from the 27th annual Business Climate Survey Report by the American Chamber of Commerce in China. Even with some global challenges and uncertainties, like changes in international rules and big events happening around the world, these companies are finding success.

But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. While 46% are profitable, 36% of the companies are just breaking even, which means they’re not losing money but not making extra either. And 18% are actually losing money. πŸ˜•

Still, many companies believe that having a good relationship between the United States and China is super important. In fact, 87% of the companies said that positive connections between the two countries are crucial for their businesses in China. That’s even higher than before!

Alvin Liu, the Chair of the American Chamber of Commerce in China, said, “A stable and constructive relationship, grounded in economic and trade ties, is critical not only for the prosperity of our two nations but also for global economic stability.” That’s a fancy way of saying that when the US and China get along, it helps everyone around the world! 🌍

Also, China is still a big deal for American businesses. Almost half of the companies (48%) said that China is one of their top three places in the world to invest money. This means they see lots of opportunities and potential in China.

So, even though there are challenges, many US companies are finding success and see the value in working in China. It’s a reminder of how connected our world is today! 🀝
