China’s Business World is Getting Better! 📈
Hey there! Have you ever wondered how companies feel about doing business in China? Well, here’s some exciting news! The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade just released a big report called the “2024 China Business Environment Research Report”. And guess what? Companies are pretty happy! 😄
This report talked to over 6,800 companies and had deep chats with nearly 1,000 Chinese and foreign businesses. They asked them how they feel about working in China, and the companies gave China’s business environment a score of 4.37 out of 5. That’s like getting an A grade! Almost 90% of them said they were “very satisfied” or “relatively satisfied”. That’s even better than last year! 🌟
The report looked at 12 important things like how easy it is to start or close a business, the roads and internet (that’s called infrastructure), and services that help people live and work comfortably. All these got more than 4 points! Companies especially liked how customs services got better, making it easier to bring things in and out of the country. They also appreciated improvements in the rules (that’s the rule of law) and how easy it is to set up a business. 🚀
Looking to the future, companies are feeling positive! Over 70% said they’re making the same or more money this year, and more than 60% are optimistic about China’s economy. They think things will get even better! Some companies do hope for lower taxes and fees, and they believe continuing to make the business environment better is important. 💡
All of this is happening because China is working hard to support private businesses. In 2024, they are thinking about a new law to help these businesses grow and succeed. The goal is to make sure all kinds of businesses can develop in a fair and friendly environment. 🤝
