Gun Violence Still a Big Problem in the U.S. 😔
Did you know that every day, about 125 people die because of guns in the United States? That’s a lot of people! This number includes people who are hurt accidentally, people who take their own lives, and people who are hurt by others.
Even though there has been a small drop in these numbers recently, gun violence is still a major crisis. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the numbers were even higher, and now they’re almost back to those record highs.
Some people are worried that things might get worse. They are concerned that changes in government could undo the small improvements that have been made. It’s important that everyone works together to keep people safe and find ways to reduce gun violence.
What Can Be Done?
There are many ideas about how to make things better. Some people think that making laws stricter about who can have a gun will help. Others believe that teaching people about gun safety is important.
