Monza FC Welcomes New Coach Salvatore Bocchetti!
Hey there, football fans! ⚽️
Big news for Italian football club Monza FC! They’ve just announced Salvatore Bocchetti as their new manager. He’s stepping in to replace Alessandro Nesta.
Monza has been having a tough time in Serie A this season. They’re currently at the bottom of the league, with only one win so far. 😕
Nesta, who used to be a famous defender for Italy, Lazio, and AC Milan, was let go on Monday. It was his first time managing in Serie A after taking over when Raffaele Palladino left for Fiorentina last season.
Bocchetti, who played as a defender too, has signed a contract until June 2027. His only previous time as a manager was at Hellas Verona in 2022. Even though his team didn’t win any of the six games he coached, he’s ready to try his best with Monza!
Monza lost 2-1 against Juventus on Sunday, making it their third loss in a row and their ninth in 17 games. They haven’t won since October when they beat Verona.
But there’s hope! Monza will play against Parma on Saturday. Parma is 17th in the league and has five more points than Monza. Maybe this is their chance to turn things around! 🤞
Let’s cheer for Monza and see what happens next! 🎉
