Hey there! Did you know that Shanghai and Taipei are two big cities in East Asia? Even though they’re separated by the Taiwan Strait, they’ve been working together for years!

Just recently, they held the Shanghai-Taipei City Forum, a special meeting where people from both cities talk about ways to collaborate and help each other out. This forum has been happening since 2010, and it’s been a great way for the cities to stay connected.

This year, there were some challenges. Some people couldn’t attend the meeting, and that made things a bit tricky. But despite that, representatives from Shanghai and Taipei had meaningful discussions! They even signed two agreements to work together more in the future. How cool is that?

One exciting topic they talked about was tourism. The Deputy Mayor of Shanghai, Mr. Hua Yuan, said he hopes people from Shanghai can visit Taiwan soon. Imagine all the fun adventures and new friends they could make!

A spokesperson from the mainland, Ms. Zhu Fenglian, said they are really looking forward to making it easier for people to travel between Shanghai and Taipei. She hopes that any obstacles can be overcome so everyone can enjoy visiting each other’s cities.

Even though there were some bumps in the road, the two cities are committed to working together. It’s a great example of how friendship and cooperation can make the world a better place! ๐ŸŒŸ
