The UN’s special envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, told the Security Council that Syria needs more than just lifting sanctions. He says Syria should have a political transition that includes everyone. This means all people in Syria should have a say in how the country is run.
If Syria can make these changes, it can get the economic support it really needs. That would help people get food, medicine, and other important things.
