One of the stars of the show is Guo Ke, one of China’s few male mermaid performers. 🧜♂️ He started doing this seven years ago when there weren’t many guys in the sport. Now, he’s performing a routine based on the Monkey King, a famous character from a Chinese legend! 🐵✨ He even does tricky moves like transforming a golden staff underwater. Guo hopes to impress everyone and help Team China win the title!
This competition isn’t just big in China—it’s the first of its kind in all of Asia! 🌏 It’s called the Asian Cup, and it brings together the best mermaid performers from places like South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, and more. They’re all here to share their cultures and show off their incredible skills under the sea.
We also have Sera Hong from South Korea. 🇰🇷 She started mermaiding two years ago after watching a mermaid show at an aquarium. This is her third time competing, and she feels like she gets better each time! 🏅
