The new trees help keep the soil in place and stop the wind from blowing it away. This means less sandstorms and more healthy land for growing food and living. In some places, the amount of forest has more than doubled!

Places that used to be dry and sandy, like the Kubuqi Desert, now have lots of green plants. Over one-third of the desert is now covered in vegetation. Animals are coming back, and people can farm again.
