They scored a whopping 277.2258 points to win the gold! πŸ₯‡

“Our routine has a strong cultural vibe with a touch of the ancient Qin Dynasty’s majesty,” said coach Zhang Xiaohuan. “We’re honoring our home ground.” 🏯

Team member Chang Hao rated their performance 8 out of 10. He said, “We’re in a transition period with both new and veteran athletes, so we need more time to perfect our teamwork. But we’ve improved a lot in the past 7 months!” πŸ’ͺ

Spain came in second with 276.1408 points, and Japan was third with 262.5166 points. πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ Spanish swimmer Paula Ramirez Ibanez said, “We loved the Chinese routine. We were amazed. They are so good and super artistic!” 🌟

In the women’s duet technical event, teenage pair Xu Huiyan and Lin Yanjun, who have only been training together for three weeks, won gold with their performance called “Moon Shadow Dancer.” πŸŒ™πŸ’ƒ They scored 289.6150 points, just ahead of the Japanese duo and the Spanish team.

“Considering we’ve only been training together for three weeks, I think we’ve made significant progress,” said Xu. She also mentioned they can do even better, especially with synchronization. 🀝

Xu also won the women’s solo technical event earlier that day with a score of 258.7933. Coach Zhang believes Xu can improve even more by refining her movements. 🌊

In the men’s solo technical event, 17-year-old Guo Muye won a silver medal with 224.0400 points. πŸ₯ˆ He felt a bit nervous competing at home but is proud of his achievement! 🎈
