Hey friends, have you ever been to a big football (soccer) match or a concert? 🎤⚽️ They can be super exciting! But it’s also important to stay safe.
On Sunday, something very sad happened at a football match in a country called Guinea, which is in West Africa. During a big game between two teams, Labe and Nzerekore, a lot of people got hurt, and many lost their lives.
There was a disagreement over a penalty that the referee gave during the game. Some fans became really upset 😡. They started throwing stones, and things got out of control.
To try to calm things down, the security forces used tear gas 😢. But this caused even more panic, and people started running in all directions. This led to a stampede, which is when a crowd of people rushes in panic and people can get hurt because there’s so much pushing and shoving.
Sadly, many people were injured, and some even lost their lives. Doctors said that hospitals were filled with people who were hurt.
This is a very sad event, and our hearts go out to everyone affected ❤️. It’s important to remember that when we’re at big events, we should always stay calm and be careful, even if something doesn’t go the way we want.
