Russia, U.S. didn't adopt joint statement after talks: Interfax report

Russia and U.S. Couldn’t Agree After 12-Hour Talks Because of Ukraine

Hey friends! 👋 Did you know that Russia and the United States had a super long meeting recently? They sat down in Saudi Arabia and talked for 12 whole hours! That’s like watching all your favorite movies back-to-back! 🎬🍿

They were trying to agree on some important issues and wanted to make a joint statement. A joint statement is when two countries say, “We both agree on this!” and tell everyone about it.

But guess what? They couldn’t agree in the end. Why not? Because of Ukraine’s position. Ukraine is another country that’s been in some disagreements with Russia lately. This made it tricky for Russia and the U.S. to find something they both could agree on.

Vladimir Chizhov, a senior Russian official, said it’s pretty normal these days for things like this to happen. Even after talking for so long, they didn’t come out with a shared statement.

International meetings can be tough! It’s like when you and your friends are trying to decide on a game to play or a place to hang out, and everyone has different ideas. Sometimes, it takes a lot of time and effort to agree. 🌍🤝

Let’s hope they keep trying and find a way to work together! 🌟
