China’s rising tennis star, Zheng Qinwen, had a challenging match at the Dubai Tennis Championships. She played against American player Peyton Stearns.
The match was supposed to happen on Tuesday but was delayed because of the weather. When they finally played, Zheng started off strong! She won the first set 6-3. That’s like scoring the first goal in a soccer game—super exciting!
But then, Stearns made a big comeback. She won the next two sets 6-4 and 6-4. It was a close and intense match!
Even though Zheng didn’t win this time, she’s not giving up. This was her third tough match in a row this season. Next up, she’s heading to North America for the Sunshine Double tournaments. Let’s cheer her on!
