China to implement tagging system for ancient, notable trees

China’s Mission to Save Ancient Trees 🌳: Protecting Green Treasures!

Did you know that some trees in China are over 5,000 years old? That’s older than the Pyramids! 🏛️

China has decided to protect these amazing trees by giving them special tags, kind of like ID cards for trees! 🌲🆔

Starting March 15, new rules will help keep these “green national treasures” safe. These trees are called ancient trees if they’re over 100 years old. That’s older than your grandparents’ grandparents!

But why is this important?

Well, these trees are part of China’s history and culture. They help animals live, keep the air clean, and make the world more beautiful.

Between 2015 and 2021, people counted over 5 million ancient and special trees in China. Some of them are even over 5,000 years old! 😲

But some trees are in danger because of things like illegal cutting and damage. That’s why China wants to protect them better.

They’re planning to check on the trees regularly, make sure each tree has its own file (like a report card! 📄), and come up with new ways to keep them healthy.

They might even use technology to watch over them, like how we use apps to keep track of things.

So next time you see a big, old tree, think about all the stories it could tell! And remember, trees are super important for our planet. 🌍❤️
