Exciting news from the world of badminton! Indonesia has won the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship, beating China 3-1 in the final match held in Qingdao, east China’s Shandong Province.

The competition started with a mixed doubles match. Indonesia’s Rinov Rivaldy and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti played against China’s Gao Jiaxuan and Wu Mengying. The Indonesian pair won the match with scores of 21-11 and 21-13, giving Indonesia the first point!

Next up was the men’s singles match. Indonesia’s Alwi Farhan faced China’s Hu Zhean. Alwi played brilliantly and won in straight games, adding another point for Indonesia.

Hu Zhean said after the match, “Today I didn’t perform well, especially in terms of tactical discipline. But I’ve learned a lot these days. I didn’t give up when I was behind, and I tried my best to catch up every time. Also, I’m more confident now.”

China fought back in the women’s singles match. Xu Wenjing played a fantastic game against Indonesia’s Putri Kusuma Wardani, winning 21-12 and 21-13. Xu said, “I did feel nervous on the court, but I had already thought about all kinds of difficulties I might face and how to handle them. So nothing could affect my performance. I’m very proud that I earned one point for my team.”

However, in the men’s doubles match, Indonesia’s Muhammad Shohibul Fikri and Daniel Marthin played strongly against China’s Chen Xujun and Huang Di. They won the match with scores of 21-15 and 21-9, securing the championship for Indonesia!
