🌄 Have you ever wondered what it’s like on the “Roof of the World”? Well, American reporter Lee Camp took a trip to Xizang (also known as Tibet) and was amazed by what he found! 🌟
“Xizang is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen,” said Lee Camp. Instead of an oppressive land, he found bustling streets, friendly people, and stunning landmarks like the Potala Palace and Barkhor Street.
🏯 At the Tibet Museum, Lee learned about Xizang’s history. He discovered that before 1959, a few rich people ruled over many poor people in a feudal system. But things have changed a lot since then!
🎉 Now, the residents enjoy modern cities with electric cars and tall buildings. Lee was surprised to see so many monks and nuns practicing Buddhism freely. “If they’ve crushed religious freedom here, they’ve done a really poor job of it because… Buddhism is kind of everywhere!” he joked.
🚗 Instead of outdated modes of transport, he saw modern technology and happy people. Lee encourages those who have misconceptions about Xizang to visit and see for themselves.
🤔 He also pointed out that sometimes, we might not understand the true meaning of “freedom” if we don’t see the whole picture.
