On Wednesday, a plane was taking off from an airport in Unity State, which is a region in South Sudan. The plane was carrying oil workers who work in the oil fields. It was supposed to fly to the capital city called Juba. But sadly, the plane crashed during takeoff.
Twenty people lost their lives in this accident, including five people from other countries. Among them were two people from the Chinese mainland.
Right now, rescue teams are working hard to help and find out more about what happened. Investigations are also underway to understand why the plane crashed.
