Hey basketball fans! 🏀 Guess what happened in the big game last night? The Shanxi Loongs took on the Fujian Sturgeons in an action-packed match in Taiyuan, north China’s Shanxi Province. The final score was 122-117, with the Shanxi Loongs coming out on top! 🎉
This game was intense! There were a total of 60 fouls and 73 free throws! That’s a lot, right? Both teams were giving it their all, and it showed.
Even though the Fujian Sturgeons are at the bottom of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) rankings, they played really well in the first half. They were super aggressive and even had a 17-point lead at one point! 😮
The Fujian Sturgeons started strong, leading 20-5 in free throws just five minutes into the second quarter. After an amazing 14-0 run, they were ahead 44-27. The Shanxi Loongs had to call a timeout to regroup.
But the Shanxi Loongs didn’t give up! Star players like Hamidou Diallo and Ge Zhaobao helped the team fight back. By halftime, they were behind 62-52.
In the second half, the Shanxi Loongs came out fighting! 🐉 Brandon Goodwin and Zhang Ning led the charge, scoring 12 points in just two minutes! They took the lead and kept pushing.
Zhang Ning was on fire in the fourth quarter! 🔥 He hit three big three-pointers, scoring 12 points in that quarter alone. His teammates, Goodwin and Yuan Shuai, also made important shots from behind the arc.
Even though Joseph Young from the Fujian Sturgeons tried his best to keep his team in the game, the Shanxi Loongs held on to win. Their teamwork and never-give-up attitude made the difference!
In another exciting game, the Guangzhou Loong Lions ended their 11-game losing streak by beating the Jiangsu Dragons 100-91. Way to go, teams! 🙌
